Three Times the Celebration: The Hollies Bookkeeping Services Named LUCA Awards Finalists

We are incredibly proud and delighted to announce that The Hollies Bookkeeping Services, based in Pontesbury, Shropshire, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2026 LUCA Awards, with our team receiving recognition across three fantastic categories.

What are the LUCA Awards?
The LUCA Awards, organised by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), are an annual celebration of achievement within the bookkeeping profession. The awards recognise outstanding bookkeepers, bookkeeping practices and professionals across a wide range of categories.
ICB describes the LUCA Awards as “the Oscars of the bookkeeping world”, celebrating outstanding achievement in the profession as well as recognising excellence across bookkeeping-related services, technology and software. Entries are assessed by an independent panel of industry experts.
For those working in bookkeeping, being shortlisted for a LUCA Award is a significant recognition, so to have The Hollies and members of our team recognised in three categories is something we are especially proud of.
Three nominations, one brilliant team
Being shortlisted for Large Practice of the Year is a wonderful recognition of The Hollies Bookkeeping Services as a whole.
Behind every client, set of accounts, payroll run and deadline is a team of people who care about getting things right. Our growth as a practice has been built on professionalism, continuous learning and, most importantly, building trusted relationships with our clients.
We are equally thrilled to see our Director Julie Williams recognised as a finalist for Student of the Year. Learning and professional development are such important parts of the bookkeeping profession, and Julie's nomination reflects the commitment, determination and hard work that goes into developing your knowledge and skills.
We are also delighted that Julie has been recognised as a finalist for Payroll Professional of the Year. Payroll carries a huge responsibility for businesses and their employees, requiring accuracy, knowledge and attention to detail. Recognition in this category is a wonderful acknowledgement of the expertise and dedication involved.
A celebration of hard work and learning
For us, these nominations aren't simply about awards. They represent years of learning, dedication and genuine care for the businesses and people we work with.
The bookkeeping profession continues to evolve, and keeping up with legislation, technology, payroll requirements and changing client needs means that learning never really stops. The ICB itself supports members through professional development, technical resources, events and qualifications.
That commitment to learning and maintaining professional standards is something we are extremely proud to be part of.
Looking ahead to the LUCA Awards
The 2026 LUCA Awards will take place in London on 16 November 2026, as part of the ICB's annual celebration of the bookkeeping profession.
We are incredibly excited to attend and celebrate alongside so many talented people from across the profession.
Of course, we would love to bring home an award, but simply being named among the finalists is already a wonderful achievement.
To be recognised in three different categories is something we will take great pride in, whatever the final results may be.
